Halloween Makeup Looks

Hi everyone and welcome back to The Coveted Lifestyle!

Seeing as Halloween is coming up and you all will be looking for inspirations for what to go as I thought I’d do a blog post on some Halloween makeup looks I’ve came up with. I’ve really gotten into doing Halloween makeup this year and I’ve loved the looks I’ve done so far. I’m not actually going as any of these looks for Halloween but I will be posting a blog post on Halloween about my costume (keeping it very hush hush). Now onto the looks

This is the first Halloween look I done which is slightly inspired by a photo I seen on Pinterest. I wanted to do more of a forest green eye makeup than black to make it slightly different to other clown makeup looks and so it wasn’t too bold. I really wanted to use the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette for this look as the dark green in the palette was a perfect pick.

Tarte Shape Tape- To prime my eyes
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in “Black Bean”- All over the lid and to create the triangle below my lash line as I wanted it to be a tad more messy and smoked out.
Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette- I used the shade “Abyss” all over the lid to set the pencil, slightly in the crease to blend out the edges of the pencil and along the lower lash line. I also used this to add more colour to the lower triangle and to blow it out. Also the shade “Enchanted” in the crease to blend out the black to make it more green and along my lower lash line.

Rimmel Exaggerate Liner- To create the triangle above my brow and to create the circle round “Lucky Clover”.

Anastasia Beverly Hills MoonChild Glowkit in “Lucky Clover- To intensify the centre of my lid, inner corner and outer corner as well as the little bobbles on the end of the triangles above my brow and below my lash line.

I really loved how this look turned it, it looked exactly how I imagined it in my head. It’s not the traditional Clown look but it’s something different.

This such a simple and easy lookthat didn’t take me long and with minimal products.

NYX Total Control Drop Foundation- It’s very pale for me which was great as it gave the impression of a dead person.

theBalm Meet Matt(e) Nudes Palette- I used the shades Matt Abdul and Matt Hung all over my eye and on the lower lash line really low to make my eyes seem sunken in. I also out this down my nose to contour slightly and to contour my cheekbones.

Colourpop Single Eyeshadow in “Silver Lining”- Add more depth to the eyes, especially the inner corner and on the nose and around the nose area.

I really like this look, it’s more for if you aren’t as experienced with makeup or you’ve been invited to a last minute Halloween party and need something to go as. I feel this would look really good with the shadow everywhere on the face to add a buried look, like the zombie has just come out of the grave.

This is a more complex and intense look but its a true halloween style SFX look. I used the Ben Nye liquid latex and strips of tissue to build up the slit. I slightly tore at the tissue after everything was dry, I didn’t get the desired effect I wanted but it actually turned out good, I wanted to create a cut in the tissue but it didn’t work. I put foundation over the top so once everything was finished it would look more realistic than fake.

I used the Mehron stage blood and con blood, with the stage blood in the centre of the slit along with the NYX Eye Pencil in Black Bean to make it seem like it was the deepest part of the slit and the c blood around the outer part and to cover the edges of the tissue. I dripped some of the stage blog down from the cut so the cut looked fresh and new.

I really do love this look, I’m impressed with myself of how I managed to do it. This look was slightly inspired by Game of Thrones as there is a lot of throat slitting in that. This look took me no more than 10 minutes to do even though it is complex.

This look is for more if you don’t want to go full halloween makeup or costume and would rather go something glam and simple. You can see I’ve been really into GoT as the last look was also GoT inspired.

Tarte Shape Tape- To prime eyes and to cut the crease.

Makeup Revolution x Sophdoesnails Palette- I used the shade “Pancakes” to set my lid then went in with “Iced Coffee” for my initial transition shade. I then used “Pumpkin” to start warming up the look and to blend out the reds and along my lower lash line. I put the shade “danger” in the outer v to deepen the edge of my eye.

MAC Power Blush in “News Flash”- In the crease to add more red to the look and along my lower lashes line slightly.

Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette- I used the shade “Hunts” to blend in with News Flash and the shade “Jacz” with “danger” to darken the outer v.

Fenty Beauty Trophy Wife Highlighter- On where I cut the crease with a wet brush and  in the centre of my lower lash line.

So Suzanne Lashes in London

I hope you’ve all liked these Halloween makeup ideas. I’m tempted to do another post like this before Halloween as I’ve got so many more ideas planned so keep a look out for that!
