Christmas Gift Guide | Part 1

Hi everyone and welcome back to The Coveted Lifestyle!

It’s that time of the year again when we all have to start buying Christmas presents. I love buying people presents but I hate when I can’t think of present ideas for people. I love watching gifts guide videos and blog posts as it not only gives me inspiration for what to get people but also what I can ask for my own Christmas. Part 1 of the gift guide is gifts sets or products that cost £25 or less and Part 2 is over £25. When I came up with the idea of doing this post I thought splitting it up was the best way to show all the different products and sets you can get over a range of price points.

MAKEUP

I love getting makeup as a gift, any makeup lover probably does and I love when brands come out with Christmas makeup sets.

Benefit always brings out the cutest looking Christmas sets. I love Benefit products and their gift sets are good way of testing out their products. All their sets this year look like little Crystal balls so you could keep them after you’ve taken the products out.I love the GALifornia Love set which costs £24.50. It has a mini GALifornia blush which I’ve been dying to try out plus full sizes of Roller Lash and Gimmie Brow. The 2 sized products usually cost £40.50 together so this such a steal. Another set is the Cable Car Cuties set which costs £14.50 so the cheaper of the 2 sets. It only has travel sized products of the POREfessional, Gimmie Brow and Rockateur blush but it’s such good value for money.

NYX have some good Christmas gift sets this year. They have their usual lip vault but its the smaller gift sets that have caught my eye more. The #Glittergoals Kit is a good way to try NYX’s glitters, every time I go into Boots there is no glitters left and I’ve been wanting to try them for a while so this is a good way to test them before buying the full-sized glitters. It costs £15 and you get there a travel sized Glitter Glue but it’s still decent sized and 3 of their face and body glitters in Gold, Copper and a new shade called Ruby. There are a lot of different shades on their website, there is blue’s and slivers, purple’s so if you don’t like the gold/bronze colours there is plenty of choices. For some of their face products, the Jet Set Travel Kit has 3 primers, a brow gel, a setting powder and a setting spray all for £25.

MAC’s Snowball collection is literally gorgeous, perfect makeup collectors. A lot of their sets are already sold out but some of my favourites are the Mini Lipstick Sets and the Pigment and Glitters sets. I love the Cool Lipstick set which has the shades “Cocktail Kiss”, “Boca” and “Kinda Sexy” which are all nudes, my favourites. Both of the Glitter and Pigment sets are so cute, I’ve just bought the Gold one for myself. The sets cost £25 each and they come with a little makeup bag, which is amazing for MAC makeup plus students get 10% off.

I’ve heard so much about the Stila Magnificent Metals eye shadows, so many YouTubers love them and when I seen they brought out a set of 3 their most popular I knew this was a must have gift set. The set is called the Written In The Stars and costs £25, the full sizes of these cost £23 so it’s quite a save. It has deluxe sizes of Diamond Dust, Kitten Karma and Smoky Storm.

Morphe palettes are always a great gift idea as they are they are such good quality and there are lots of different shades on offer. I love the 25A palette, the Copper Spice palette which is one of their smaller palettes but their 35 shadow palettes are some of their best ones. I’d recommend the new 35O2 palette or the original 35O palette. They also brought out holiday palettes, the 15N and the 15D palettes. The 35 shadow palettes cost £23, the 25 shadow palettes cost £19 and the new 15 shadow palettes cost £15 and their shadows are extremely pigmented for their price.

Finally for the makeup gift ideas Makeup Revolution have some the most affordable palettes. The Soph x Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palette and highlighter palette are amazing and both cost just £18. I’ve done a whole blog post on them so if you want to see swatches of them then go check it out. Their new Life on the Dance Floor collection, which is massive, has 4 eyeshadow palettes and 3 lipsticks that match each of the palettes. I like all the palettes apart from the Sparklers palettes only because it has bright colours and they aren’t my scene.

SKINCARE AND BODY

Soap and Glory always know how to do Christmas gift sets. I think Soap and Glory gift sets are such easy gifts as everyone loves bath and body products. So many of their Christmas gift sets are under £25 and they have not just body care sets but makeup too. I feel like every single one of their Christmas sets are amazing gifts, I found it hard to pick a few for this post. I do like their makeup products but their body products are what are they are famous for. I love the Sugar Crush scent and they have a few sets in that range including The Zest A Girl Can Get which is £16, The Lime Of Your Life which is £10 and Irresistabubble which is £5.  Other sets that I think are worth getting are the Box of DeLights– £16, Hello Super Spa– £15, Glow-Ball– £14, Wash Upon a Star– £8.50, Glow Maintenance– £18 and Special Edition Soaper Heroes– £10.

The Body Shop have some really nice Christmas sets this year. Their Treats sets are such easy gifts as there is so many different scents on offer and they only cost £6. Some of my favourite scents are Strawberry, Coconut and Satsuma. Also their Beauty Bag sets are similar to the Treats sets but they come with a hand cream and body butter instead of the gel lotion and bath lily and come in a cute little bag. It comes in all the same scents as the Treats set.

The one gift I really want to get but it’s always sold out is the Face Mask Sampler Set. I’ve never tried their face masks before so it’s an easy way to try them out before getting a big pot but its the rabbit headband that makes me want to get this, I can literally imagine myself using this while putting my makeup on.

OTHERS

Zoella Lifestyle has been high controversial this year with the whole advent calendar scenarios but she does have a few nice gifts in her set. Her products are slightly expensive but they are good gifts for anyone who is a fan of hers. The Warm and Toasty Mug and Hat set is the one that I’d choose out of them all if I was to purchase any of these myself. I like the hat (except for the little z on it but I’m sure you could cut that off if it really bothered you) as I love bobble hats and the colour of the bobble really draws me in and the design on the mug is pretty.  Also for any lovers of notebooks her Jotter has such a nice design on it, it has the same design as the mug in the Warm and Toasty set. The Warm and Toasty set costs £18 and the Jotter costs £14 so they are pricey for what they are but they are perfect for anyone who really likes Zoella.

I know this may sound a slightly boring gift but planners are one of those things that you never buy yourself but always need. Being a blogger I am definitely asking for a planner for Christmas. These Ultimate Blogger Planners from Dot Creates are really great for bloggers, there is plenty of pages for planning posts and sponsored content. For a more generic planner Mossery have some really nice ones and they have lots of different designs. There is even an option to personalise them and add a name to them.

I hope this gift guide is helpful with deciding on gifts for someone Christmas or even ideas for yourself. Keep an eye out for part 2 which is coming very soon.
