Hi everyone and welcome back to The Coveted Lifestyle!
Ready for my first summer post of 2018. I am so ready for summer, I just want to be sitting at the side of a pool sunbathing. I’m actually in the process of looking/booking my summer holiday and I feel the perfect way to get excited for a holiday is to look at summer clothes. I have already started adding some items to my wishlists on a few different websites so it put a thought in my mind – why not do a blog post on it. So here we are, I’m going to talk about all the clothes that are on my summer wishlist. Also, what makes this whole post better is that every item of clothing in this wishlist is under £30, yes, you read that right, under £30.
I know for me I hate spending tons of money on summer clothing for me to only wear it once or twice on holiday or one when Scotland gets good weather. Also, I’m a student. I don’t have hundreds of pounds to spend on a whole new summer wardrobe so I love keeping it affordable, doesn’t make my bank scream as much. I feel there is a running theme throughout this with some of the clothes being yellow, I am really liking yellow at the minute.
I have lots of different clothes from ASOS, Pretty Little Thing, Boohoo, SHEIN so all very affordable places and there is one item from Urban Outfitters. Also, for my fellow students out there, all of these clothes are from places that do student discount. I like to save some coin and I want to save everyone else some coin.
CASUAL DAY OUTFITS
Everyone needs shorts for their holiday. Whether it’s just for popping down to the pool, going to the shops or going out on a little day trip shorts are always my go-to for my bottom half. A lot of the shorts I got for my holiday last year are a tad tatty so I’m in major need of new ones, especially denim ones. I’ve found some more casual ones as well as some fancier ones that I could wear at night if I didn’t want to wear some of the fancier outfits I’ll mention later.
ASOS Shorts – £14
Pretty little thing Shorts – £8
Adidas Shorts – £24
Tops and t-shirts is a category that I don’t need a lot of. I already have tons of summer tops already but I mean what harm will a few more have. My wishlist for tops is small as I do buy a lot of summer cami tops or vest tops from Primark as they have some really nice ones in at the minute and they are only £3/£4 so I’m not spending tons on them. I did find a few tops that for my holiday would look very pretty (maybe also paired with some of the shorts I’ve already mentioned).
Pretty little thing Bralet – £10
Shein Crop Cami Top – £6.99
I feel this category really blends into the next section of the post as Co-ords can be worn both casually during the day but also a night out outfit. I also like co-ords as after the summer I can still use the top for nights out. Shein has some really nice co-ord sets at the minute for such a good price, considering you get both parts on the co-ord included in the price. The only thing with Shein is they can be a bit hit or miss with sizes and the quality so I’ll consider that before I buy anything.
Now onto the fancy night time outfits. I love getting all dressed up after a day of relaxing by the pool and I feel that on holiday you can get away with wearing a long flowy dress. I wore a really nice one last year that I loved and I really want to get more for my holiday this year. I’ve also got some more casual dresses in here as well, for those nights where I don’t want to wear a long dress.
ASOS Beach Maxi Dress – £28
Pretty Little Thing White Maxi Dress – £22
ASOS Spotty Sundress – £15
Pretty Little Thing Spotty Cut Out Dress – £15
I can’t decide if this is my favourite part of the wishlist or if the swimwear part is my favourite part but I’m now onto the playsuits and jumpsuits. Jumpsuits are one of my go-to outfits when it’s sunny as they are so flowy and allow my body to breathe. I’ve already got one playsuit in my summer wardrobe which I very excited to wear on holiday but there is always room for more playsuits and jumpsuits in my wardrobe.
Pretty Little Thing Orange Playsuit – £20
ASOS Cherry Print Playsuit – £25
SHIEN Tropical Jumpsuit – £17.99
SHEIN Striped Jumpsuit – £21.99
I love swimwear. I have so many bikinis in my house that I probably don’t need any more but I always want to buy new bikinis each year because all the shops release such nice new bikinis that I can’t help myself. I also want to branch myself into some swimsuits as I’ve so many people on Instagram wearing nice swimsuits so I’ve been on the lookout to add some swimsuits to my wishlist.
SHEIN literally has some of the nicest swimwear ever. If it actually looks nice in person though is a different question. I love how affordable they are and that they come in a set rather than the individual items but that also backfires as I am sometimes a smaller size on my top half compared to my bottom half.
SHEIN Swimsuit 1 – £10.99
SHEIN Swimsuit 2 – £10.99
With the number of clothes I have on this wishlist, I’d probably need to have 3 suitcases to go away but I obviously won’t be buying everything on this wishlist. I feel I may do a haul either on here or over on my Youtube Channel (if you aren’t subscribed to my channel then head over now- the link is here) if I do buy a lot of items for my holidays so stay tuned.
