What I Wear To The Gym | How I Style Activewear In Summer

Hi everyone and welcome back to The Coveted Lifestyle!

Something you may not know about me is that I really enjoy going to the gym. I know, I actually enjoy going to the gym. One of the things I love about the gym is the clothing, I love activewear. I literally have a whole drawer dedicated to gym clothes. As I’ve been going to the gym around 3 to 4 times a week I thought I’d show you what I usually wear when I go to the gym, especially what I wear to the gym in the summertime. The UK has been experiencing a heatwave and it has been roasting which isn’t want you want when you are sweating it out in the gym.

I mean I don’t go all out when I go to the gym, I’m definitely more of a comfort over looking good as I’ll never look good when I’m all hot and sweaty from working out. I am though that person that is kitted out in proper gym/activewear and not just in black leggings and a t-shirt. All these clothes are from a different range of places with varied price tags. There are the usual places in there like Nike and Adidas but also places like Primark and Victoria’s Secret.

One of the main things I wear to the gym in summer and all year round as they are staples for me are vest/tank tops. I live in these at the gym as it keeps me way cooler than if I was to wear a gym t-shirt. Don’t get me wrong I still get hot and sweaty so don’t think I’m saying that wearing a tank top to the gym will make you not get hot or sweaty.  I have so many nice tank tops for the gym, my workout clothes drawer is basically full of them. I have some plain ones in grey and blue from Primark which literally cost me £3 each and I also have some patterned one from Adidas.

The next staple for me, especially in the summer is cropped sports leggings. I do love long leggings but in the summer I don’t even get out the door before I’m dying because I’m so hot. Cropped leggings are something that I still keep buying even though I have so many, I just keep on thinking I don’t have enough. I have a pair of cropped leggings that I think I’ve literally had for around 5 or 6 years which is mental but they are still in an amazing condition and they are my favourite pair of leggings.

Obviously, it wouldn’t be a how I style without having some photos of some of the outfits I wear to the gym.

Also I thought I would include of of the sports bras I wear to the gym as you always need support, especially being in the bigger boob category.

I’m planning on doing more of these posts in the future with lots of different types of clothing as I want to tell you all about how I style clothes for my body type (which I will get into another post).
