Hi everyone and welcome back to The Coveted Lifestyle!
Everyone loves a pamper night every once and a while. It’s a great way to unwind after a hard day or just an excuse to break out the bath bombs and chill in bed. After a long week of going to the gym lots and working, I decided last Thursday I’d treat myself to a relaxing night in and pamper myself. There is nothing better than treating yourself every once and a while.
I actually started off the day by getting my eyebrows tinted and waxed so I technically started my pamper day at 12pm in the afternoon. I do love a brow day, nothing better than pampering myself and getting my brows back into shape as they were getting a tad out of control. I get my brows done at Benefit, I have been going there for 3 years now
I think there is nothing better than to treat yourself to a beauty treatment every one and a while as it’s a good way to pamper yourself and a good way to make you feel good about yourself.
Moving onto pamper night section of this post. The first thing I do is remove my makeup. I always feel so much better once all my makeup is off. I used the Dermalogica PreCleanse to remove my makeup as I like using it to take my makeup off as it’s an oil based cleanser so it literally melts all my makeup off. I usually look a bit like a clown after I’ve massaged it into my skin, it really is a good look. This even removes my eye makeup and mascara which I love as it means I don’t have to use an eye makeup remover.
If I have really heavy eye makeup on (which is very rarely) or the PreCleanse doesn’t take off all my eye makeup, I use the Nivea MicellAir Professional Micellar Make-Up Remover or the Nivea Double Effects Eye Makeup Remover. I also go in with another face wash, usually the Simple or the La Roche Posey Effaclar cleanser just to wash my face again, good to double cleanse after all.
The next step in my pamper night is to have a bath. I know baths aren’t for everyone but I love them. When I decide I’m having a pamper night I have a look through my bath bomb collection and pick out a bath bomb to treat myself to. Usually, it’s a Lush Bath Bomb but I also have some Bomb Cosmetics ones in my collection. The one, in particular, I used on Thursday was the Monsters Ball Bath Bomb which is actually one from Halloween that I still hadn’t used. I mixed in some muscle soak bubble bath from Radox because of my sore muscles from the gym and to create bubbles as bath bombs don’t really create bubbles. I love just sitting on my phone and relaxing when I’m in the bath, I could easily sit for a while in the bath but I try not to as I don’t want to go all wrinkly.
Once I’m out of the bath it’s time for the first of my facemasks. I really wanted to give my skin some TLC as it hasn’t been the best recently so I started off by using the Dermalogica Clear Start Blackhead Clearing Fizz Mask. This is relatively new in my collection, I’ve had it for a few weeks now, and I’d used it twice before this pamper night. I’m not going to talk about this too much in this post as I am planning on doing a review post on this so stay tuned for that. I put this on the congested areas of my face straight after coming out of the bath and leave it on for around 5 minutes before washing it off.
While the Fizz Mask is doing its job I get changed into my PJs ready for my cosy night in bed. I would love to say I put on my cosy PJs but it’s way too hot at night to wear cosy PJs so I’ve been wearing short PJs, I have such a cute pair from Topshop that have little alligators on them and on the t-shirt it has another alligator and “see you later” beside it (see you later alligator, get it?). After washing off the Fizz Mask and then getting into bed I went onto the second mask of the night. My skin has been so dry recently, I also feel my makeup doesn’t look great because of my skin being so dry so I wanted to use a hydrating mask, I picked up the Garnier Moisture Bomb Pomegranate Hydrating Face Sheet Mask for only £1.99 from Superdrug.
I can’t do a pamper night without watching some films. I love settling down, all cosy in bed with a cup of tea and a film on. I actually today decided to break out some DVDs which I have not done for the longest time, I usually just stick to Netflix but Netflix is a bit dry for films at the minute. I went very OG with my movie choices, OG RomComs as I choose She’s All That and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. I have not seen these in the longest time, especially How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. I didn’t really remember what actually happens in How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days so it was really good to watch it again.
And that is it for how I do a pamper day and night. Everyone needs a pamper night every once and a while and mines was a tad overdue.
