Hi everyone and welcome back to The Coveted Lifestyle!
This is a different kind of post for me but it’s something that I am really wanting to get into and talk about more. Since the summer I’ve been quite into the gym, I would go at least 4 times a week. I really enjoy going to the gym and working out, it makes me feel so much better about myself. I started slacking when I went back to uni and started to eat a lot more junk food and felt my progress I’d made slip away from me.
I feel this may sound so typical being like “I’m going to go to the gym in January” and “I’m going to eat better in January” but for me, it’s all about going on a fitness journey rather than going on a diet spree. Yes, I do want to eat healthier and cut out a lot of the junk food I was eating but it’s not a diet. I am still going to eat chocolate, biscuits or crisps but I’m going to eat them in moderation. I’m not going to eat 3 chocolate bars in an hour but if I do want one in a day then I will have one. I’ve tried so much to cut out junk food completely but that’s where I always fail and end up having more junk food than what I would if I didn’t restrict myself.
The main part of this fitness journey is toning up my body. Everyone has parts of their body that they don’t like, I definitely do but I have slowly started to accept the way my body is but I want to try and refine it and make it more toned. I am going to be training at the gym 3 to 4 times a week with each day I’m there being a specific training day. The days I’m going to the gym are Monday, Tuesday, Friday with maybe a Sunday or Wednesday if I’m free. Monday is leg and booty day, Tuesday is arms, chest and back and Friday is abs along with a HITT workout. I get a lot of inspiration for my workouts from Instagram but I am planning on doing a separate post all about what I do at the gym and the workouts I use.
I’m going to document my fitness journey here on my blog as I’d love to be able to help other people with their fitness journey or even go on a fitness journey with other people. If there are any posts that you’d like to see about fitness then leave them in the comments. I am in no way a personal trainer or even someone who could advise someone about what to do at the gym so that is definitely not something I’m going to do, I’m just going to share my fitness journey including my workouts. If you starting a fitness journey this month or even this year then I’d love to hear from you and we can go along this journey together. Let’s get fit in 2019.
